Shine by Grey - New Blog!

Good morning and yahoo spring is nearly here! My favourite time of year. I can feel vibrant energy in the air and also the wonderful astrological energy that will be great for all of us!

Last week I decided to create another Blog, yes just because I have sooooo much time on my hands (not!) but I was drawn to create and I always go with the flow if it feels right.

This Newsletter is dedicated to the new blog and so I'll touch on it's subject matter. The blog is called SHINE BY GREY - NOTHING IS BLACK AND WHITE, an over 50's Blog about love, truth and hair colour!

I have been shocked recently by the lack of women in magazines over 50. The conversation came up after I was directing a video for a fashion brand, it was interviewing women over 50 and what it meant for them. The experience was so lovely AND incredibly inspiring. As someone who is 52 (yes there's my age) I felt part of a clan, an understanding of how as women we almost come into our true self on some level. Apparently in the Netherlands, women who turn 50 have a say 'Seeing Scarlett' party - its seen as a milestone to be celebrated. I love that!

I think it's kind of funny there's a big thing about Monica Belluci being the next James Bond women because she's over fifty - which is awesome! But she's Monica Belluci.. It is great don't get me wrong, but how amazing that it IS a shock for the media and all of use. It's a positive sign that the world is saying, it's okay to age (kind of).

Our population is an aging population and I wanted to explore this part of my life for myself and for others.
