A while ago I was writing a public talk presentation on Personal Branding. The journey itself was wonderful as it illustrated to me how the process is such an opportunity for growth.
My husband who works as an Educational Consultant and collaborates with social workers and youth at risk, suggested that I watch a video as I was working on it. This video has been around for a few years and watched by over a million people, but for those like me who haven't seen it, I suggest you find some time to watch it.
The lovely synchronistic moment I experienced, is that her message was in my presentation. A brand is not a logo, an identity or a product or service, it's a meaning, a feeling. It's a connection.
So finding your own personal brand is about being authentic in order to connect with others and to do that you must look and find a sense of worthiness. Then as storytellers we are able to share and inspire others in our work. Brene Brown certainly captures this practically and humorously in her TED talk.
Enjoy!
